About Yamisa

Lead Therapist

I am currently a third year student at UNISA busy with my BE Degree in foundation phase. I am a Xhosa speaking born and bred in the Eastern Cape, a small town of Middleburg E/C Karoo, and a first born of two children. I was raised by my stronghold grandmother. I am a person who is always looking at the bright side, always positive and able to deal with challenges. I am a strong woman, very determined and have the hunger to achieve the best. My weakness is failure but I do not let it bring me down, instead it encourages me to do better.

The reason I joined LUC Academy is that I felt a sense of belonging. Making a difference in a child's life and knowing that I am part of the team of therapists who seek not only the best for the children but also show love, care, trust and put a smile on the children is a privilege. A child is a wonderful gift regardless of what condition he/she has and I as a therapist strive to make a change. I chose the field because of the love and care I have for children.
